How much nicotine is in a Geek Bar Pulse X? 900 mg, by mode

18 mL at 5% is 900 mg of nicotine per Pulse X. Split by Geek Bar's own ratings: 0.036 mg a puff in Regular, 0.06 mg in Pulse, and what that is per day.

A Geek Bar Pulse X holds about 900 mg of nicotine: 18 mL of e-liquid at 5%, read the standard way as 50 mg per millilitre. That is nominal liquid content, not what a body absorbs. Spread over the maker’s own ratings, it comes to 0.036 mg per rated puff in Regular mode and 0.06 mg in Pulse mode.

That answers how much nicotine is in a Geek Bar Pulse X from the maker’s own numbers, which is more than the maker’s page does. This is an evergreen explainer, not news: the figures below change only if Geek Bar changes the spec. This desk read Geek Bar’s Pulse X product page on 4 October 2026. Its spec line reads Regular 25K Puffs, Pulse 15K Puffs, 18 mL, 5% Nicotine. It gives no milligram total and no per-mode figure. Everything here is arithmetic on those four numbers. Nobody at this desk tested, weighed or vaped a device.

How much nicotine is in a Geek Bar Pulse X in total?

The method is volume times strength. Geek Bar states 18 mL and 5%. It does not convert the percentage, so the 50 mg/mL step is a convention rather than a figure printed by the maker: a 5% e-liquid is conventionally read as 5 grams of nicotine per 100 mL, which is 50 mg in each millilitre. VapeJuice’s guide to how much nicotine is in a Geek Bar, dated 16 October 2025 and read again here on 4 October 2026, uses the same reading and lists the Pulse X at 900 mg from 18 mL at 50 mg/mL.

18 mL multiplied by 50 mg/mL is 900 mg. That is the whole tank, before a single puff, on a genuine device sold to the spec geekbar.com publishes.

The 900 mg, split by mode

Geek Bar rates the Pulse X twice: 25,000 puffs in Regular mode and 15,000 in Pulse mode, both from the same 18 mL. The nicotine in the tank does not change with the switch. What changes is how many rated puffs it is spread across.

Arithmetic on geekbar.com’s Pulse X spec line, read 4 October 2026, at 50 mg/mL. Nominal liquid content, not absorbed dose.

Pulse mode spends the same 900 mg in 40% fewer rated puffs. On the maker’s own ratings, Pulse mode means more liquid, and so more nominal nicotine, per puff.

How much nicotine is that per day?

Per-day nicotine is per-puff nicotine times puffs a day. The rows below use the same four daily puff rates as our post on how long a Geek Bar Pulse X lasts. The 120 and 175 rows come from earlier user surveys cited in that post; 200 and 400 are round numbers for heavier use.

Puffs a dayRegular mode (0.036 mg a puff)Pulse mode (0.06 mg a puff)
120about 4.3 mg7.2 mg
1756.3 mg10.5 mg
2007.2 mg12 mg
40014.4 mg24 mg

Arithmetic on the maker’s ratings. Not a measured intake.

The two posts are the same sum read two ways. At 200 puffs a day, Regular mode lasts 125 days on the rated count, and 900 mg over 125 days is 7.2 mg a day. Pulse mode lasts 75 days, and 900 mg over 75 days is 12 mg. Someone who switches between modes lands between the columns.

Does Pulse Mode deliver more nicotine than Regular Mode?

Per rated puff, yes, by the maker’s own figures: about two-thirds more liquid, and so two-thirds more nominal nicotine, in every Pulse puff. Per device, no: the tank is 900 mg either way, and Pulse mode simply reaches the end of it sooner.

What the ratings cannot tell you is how long anyone draws on a puff. The Pulse X page gives no puff-test method and no puff duration, which is why our review of puff-count claims treats every rated count as a ceiling. A longer or harder draw than the one behind the rating would move more liquid, whichever mode the switch is in. The per-puff column is the maker’s average, not anyone’s actual puff.

How does the Pulse X compare with the original Geek Bar Pulse?

Geek Bar’s own page for the original Geek Bar Pulse, read on 4 October 2026, rates it at 15,000 puffs in Regular and 7,500 in Pulse, at 5% nicotine. Pulse mode halves that device’s rated count, so on the original Pulse, Pulse mode doubles nominal nicotine per puff. On the Pulse X the Pulse rating is 60% of the Regular rating, so the per-puff jump is about 1.67 times, not 2.

The maker’s Pulse page, as read, gives no liquid volume. The 16 mL and 800 mg figures for the original Pulse come from VapeJuice, a retailer, not from Geek Bar. On those figures, the original Pulse works out at about 0.053 mg per rated puff in Regular and about 0.107 mg in Pulse. That would mean the Pulse X carries less nominal nicotine per rated puff in both modes, but the comparison rests on a retailer’s volume, not the maker’s. Our Pulse X vs Pulse 15000 comparison sets the two devices side by side on everything else.

Two more names turn up in this search. VapeJuice also lists a Pulse X Zero with no nicotine; the maker’s Pulse X page this desk read does not mention it. The Pulse X 2 is a separate device, covered in our Pulse X 2 vs Pulse X explainer, and none of the figures above apply to it.

What the 900 mg figure does not tell you

It is not a dose. VapeJuice notes that some liquid stays in the wick, so not every millilitre is vaporised, and that vaporised nicotine is less bioavailable than nicotine in smoke. How much any person absorbs depends on how they puff, and no figure on a spec sheet captures that.

It describes one market’s device. The 18 mL, 5% spec is the one geekbar.com publishes. This desk read no UK or EU regulator’s page for this post and makes no claim about versions sold elsewhere.

It describes a genuine device. A counterfeit’s liquid and strength are whatever the counterfeiter filled it with.

Is the Geek Bar Pulse X authorised by the FDA?

Not on the FDA’s own list. This desk read the FDA’s list of authorized e-cigarettes on 4 October 2026. It states that 48 e-cigarettes are authorized and that these are the only ones that may be lawfully sold in the United States. The manufacturers named in the list as read are Glas, JUUL Labs, Logic, NJOY and R.J. Reynolds Vapor Company. No Geek Bar product appears in it. The geekbar.com footer carries a link labelled PMTA; a link is not a marketing order. The FDA adds that authorization does not mean a product is safe or “FDA approved”.

Frequently asked questions

How much nicotine is in a Geek Bar Pulse?

The Pulse X holds about 900 mg: 18 mL at 5%, on the maker’s spec line. The original Geek Bar Pulse is also sold at 5%, but the maker’s page this desk read gives no liquid volume for it. VapeJuice’s guide puts it at 16 mL and 800 mg. Both totals are nominal liquid content, not a dose.

What does 5% nicotine mean in a Geek Bar Pulse?

It is the concentration of nicotine in the e-liquid. Geek Bar prints only “5% Nicotine”; the usual reading, which retailer guides such as VapeJuice’s use, is 50 mg of nicotine in every millilitre. Multiply that by the fill, 18 mL on a Pulse X, and you get the device total of 900 mg.

Does Pulse Mode deliver more nicotine than Regular Mode?

Per rated puff, yes. Geek Bar rates the same 18 mL at 25,000 puffs in Regular and 15,000 in Pulse, so each Pulse puff carries about 0.06 mg of nominal nicotine against 0.036 mg, roughly 1.67 times as much. The device total does not change: Pulse mode spends the same 900 mg in fewer puffs.

How many cigarettes is a Geek Bar Pulse actually equal to?

There is no honest single number, and this desk does not publish one. A Pulse X’s 900 mg is liquid in a tank, not nicotine absorbed, and VapeJuice’s own guide says vaporised nicotine is less bioavailable than smoke. Cigarettes vary too. A cigarette count built on device totals compares two different quantities.

The Pulse X is a 5% nicotine product, and 900 mg in one sealed body is a lot of nicotine to carry around. Geek Bar’s own page says it is not intended for sale or use by anyone under 21. Nicotine is addictive; this is for adults of legal purchase age only, and not for non-smokers or former smokers.
