How long does a vape last? Days, from the maker's rating
A vape ends when its liquid, charge or coil runs out. The Geek Bar Pulse X and ELFBAR 600 puff ratings, turned into days at stated puffs a day.
How long a vape lasts depends on what ends it: the sealed liquid in a disposable, the charge in a rechargeable, or the coil in a refillable. On the makers’ own ratings, a 600-puff ELFBAR 600 lasts under two days at 365 puffs a day, and a 25,000-puff Geek Bar Pulse X about 68 days in Regular mode.
This is an evergreen explainer, not news. This desk read the Geek Bar and ELFBAR product pages and the abstract of a 2020 puff-rate study on 18 October 2026. Nobody here tested a device: every day figure below is arithmetic on maker ratings.
Three things end a vape
The liquid. A disposable is finished when its sealed tank is dry. Geek Bar’s Pulse X page rates it at 25,000 puffs in Regular mode and 15,000 in Pulse mode from 18 mL of 5% nicotine. The ELFBAR 600 page gives 2 ml and up to 600 puffs at 20, 10 or 0 mg/ml.
The charge. A rechargeable pod kit runs flat between charges. ELFBAR’s ELFA TURBO page claims up to 850 puffs per full charge from a 550mAh battery.
The coil. Refillables end when the coil wears. None of the maker pages this desk read gives a coil lifespan or a battery cycle count, so this post prints neither.
How long does a vape last at your puff rate?
| Puffs a day | Pulse X Regular (25,000) | Pulse X Pulse (15,000) | ELFBAR 600 (600) | ELFA TURBO, per charge (850) |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 120 | about 208 days | 125 days | 5 days | about 7 days |
| 200 | 125 days | 75 days | 3 days | about 4.3 days |
| 365 | about 68.5 days | about 41 days | about 1.6 days | about 2.3 days |
| 400 | 62.5 days | 37.5 days | 1.5 days | about 2.1 days |
Rated puffs divided by puffs a day. The 365 row is the study mean below; 120, 200 and 400 are illustrative rates. Our Pulse X days-by-mode post and Pulse mode explainer cover that device alone.
How many puffs a day is normal?
Aherrera and colleagues, in Tobacco Induced Diseases in 2020, recruited 100 daily exclusive users in Maryland from 2015 to 2017. They vaped on average 365 puffs a day, with a standard deviation of 720. Most used mods and tanks, so the mean is not a measure of disposable use.
Why puff ratings and liquid use disagree
The same study put weekly e-liquid use at 5 to 240 mL, median 32.5. At that median, 18 mL lasts about 3.9 days and 2 ml about 0.4 days, against 68.5 and 1.6 by puff rating. Its users’ median strength was 3 mg/mL, and maker ratings are the maker’s own figures. Neither predicts one reader, which is why our review of puff-count claims treats every rating as a ceiling.
Frequently asked questions
How long does a disposable vape last?
Until its sealed liquid runs out. Divide the maker’s puff rating by your puffs a day: ELFBAR rates the ELFBAR 600 at up to 600 puffs from 2 ml, under two days at 365 puffs a day, while Geek Bar’s 25,000-puff Pulse X rating comes to about 68 days at the same rate. Both are ceilings, not test results.
How many days does a 600 puff vape last?
Five days at 120 puffs a day, three at 200 and about 1.6 at 365, the mean in a 2020 study of daily users. That assumes the device delivers every rated puff. ELFBAR’s own page says up to 600, so a real one can run out sooner.
How long does a vape battery last?
Per charge, it depends on the device. ELFBAR rates the rechargeable ELFA TURBO at up to 850 puffs per full charge from a 550mAh cell, about 2.3 days at 365 puffs a day. Geek Bar says the Pulse X reaches 80% charge in 20 minutes. No maker page this desk read gives a battery’s lifetime in charge cycles.
A longer-lasting device is still a nicotine product. Nicotine is addictive; these are for adults of legal purchase age only, 21+ in the United States, and not for non-smokers or former smokers.
